Quality Assurance & AQL Inspections

Profade Apparel integrates Quality Assurance throughout the product lifecycle, from development and pre-production approvals through manufacturing and final pre-shipment inspection. Quality standards are adapted to each product, client, retailer, and destination market.

AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit) is a statistical sampling method used to evaluate a production lot against defined acceptance criteria. The lower the AQL, the more stringent the inspection standard.

Our quality process may include:

  • Pre-production sample and spec approval
  • Raw material, color and workmanship verification
  • In-line production monitoring
  • Measurement and construction checks
  • Testing and compliance coordination
  • Final pre-shipment inspection
  • Corrective action and follow-up when required

Profade Apparel can coordinate standard retail inspections through highly stringent AQL 0.25 and 0.10 programs, depending on client and product requirements.

AQL INSPECTION STANDARD
2.5 Standard
1.5 Enhanced
1.0 Strict
0.65 Very Strict
0.40 Highly Stringent
0.25 Exceptional Quality
0.10 Maximum Stringency

Defect Classification

CRITICAL: Safety, regulatory or hazardous defects – Zero Tolerance

MAJOR: Defects affecting function, appearance, performance or saleability

MINOR: Small workmanship or cosmetic deviations

AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit) is a
lot-acceptance sampling standard and does not represent the percentage of defective units permitted in the total shipment.

Testing & Compliance
